Canyonfire Photo Gallery: New Year's Party at Maryly'sIn December I joined Bay Area Sea Kayakers (BASK) after buying a shiny red 17' Necky Looksha IV from California Canoe and Kayak in Jack London Square, Oakland, in October 2001. A New Year's Eve 2001 camp-out to Angel Island was planned, but when inclement weather forced cancellation, Maryly Snow offered to host a party at her house instead. 16 of us converged on her house at 8 p.m. Monday night armed with all kinds of delectable comestibles.
