Canyonfire Photo Gallery: 1st Digital

On 17.De.01 I got my first digital camera, an Olympus C-2100. That evening and the next morning I took a variety of pictures to test its features and capabilities. I was very happy with the results. Its optical zoom has the SLR equivalent of 38-380mm, which is close to the combination of the two zooms I have for my Canon Rebel 2000, which I dearly love. Pictures taken with the zoom cranked all the way out to 380 (like the Staten Apts detail) were sharp and crisp. The macro also works well. At wide-angle, the camera focuses down to about 3" from the end of the lens. The stamps picture shows how close you can get.
